Cyber insurance applications can be overwhelming but here is some useful advice
It’s rare for one person to have all the answers. That’s why our application makes it easy to invite colleagues to contribute—whether it’s your IT lead, data privacy officer, or even your finance team. Everyone you invite can access the entire application and fill out the parts they know best. To invite others to help with the application just click "Invite Collaborators" at the top of the application.
While not every field in the application is mandatory, the more information you provide, the easier it is for us to assess things. This helps us to speed up the application process, minimise follow-up questions and often provide better terms for your insurance. Put simply: more clarity means faster decisions and stronger outcomes.
Though not a requirement, if you have any supporting documents you feel would help your application—like cyber risk assessments, recent audits, internal security presentations, or even organisational charts—you can attach them at the end of your application.
No problem. Speak to your broker first—they’ll let you know whether the change needs to be updated in the application or if they can handle it directly with us. If an update is needed, it’s quick and easy to log back in, make your changes, and resubmit. You’ll simply need to re-sign the amended application.
Applying for a new policy can take time—especially when you're pulling data from different sources and facing unclear questions. We've made our initial application as straightforward as possible but our renewal experience really shines.
When it's time to renew, click the renewal option. Most answers are pre-filled—you’ll only need to update a few key details, like recent incidents or current revenue. Then review, adjust if needed, and resubmit.
